Advocating for the Backbone of Sri Lanka’s Apparel Industry

Established in 1992, the Sri Lanka Chamber of Garment Exporters (SLCGE) was founded during a pivotal time when small and medium-scale garment manufacturers faced significant challenges in accessing textile quota allocations. Since then, we have grown to become the leading voice of the SME apparel sector, advocating for fairness, opportunity, and sustainable growth.

As a registered entity under Section 34 of the Companies Act No. 7 of 2007, our Chamber is fully committed to upholding the objectives outlined in our Articles of Association. We exist to support, promote, and protect the interests of Sri Lanka’s small and medium-sized apparel manufacturers — the true engine behind the nation’s thriving garment industry.
