The Sri Lanka Chamber of Garment Exporters (SLCGE), led by President Nishantha Bakmeege, held a productive meeting with Deputy Minister of Industries Hon. Chathuranga Abeysinghe to discuss strategic priorities and enhanced collaboration between the Ministry of Industries and the SME apparel sector.

Representing SLCGE were Rumesh Perera, Malinda Ranasinghe, Sheha Olegasageram, and Jeremy Enas.

Discussions centered on policy support, industry challenges, and actionable steps to enhance competitiveness, sustainability, and long term growth of Sri Lanka’s SME apparel exporters.

SLCGE looks forward to continued engagement with the Ministry of Industries to ensure that the voice of SME exporters remains central to national industrial development.
