We are pleased to welcome Mr. Nishantha Bakmeege as the newly appointed President of the Sri Lanka Chamber of Garment Exporters (SLCGE), following the Chamber’s 28th Annual General Meeting held in Colombo.

Previously serving as Vice President, Mr. Bakmeege brings strong hands-on industry experience as the Managing Director of Screenline Holdings, with interests spanning apparel manufacturing, branding, and sustainable ventures. Known for his focus on innovation, digitalisation, and sustainability-led manufacturing, he brings a future-oriented perspective to chamber leadership.

Under his presidency, the SLCGE looks forward to strengthened policy advocacy, closer engagement with policymakers, and renewed efforts to enhance the global competitiveness of Sri Lanka’s SME apparel exporters.
